Tired of chasing down missing product details? With the Missing Data Finder, you can effortlessly identify products in your Shopify store that are missing essential information like SKU, descriptions, image ALT tags, and more.

Simply run the tool across your entire product catalog, a specific collection, or even a specific product type. The Missing Data Finder will scan your items and flag any fields that are incomplete or missing values, allowing you to quickly take action and ensure your data is complete.

Choose what you want to check for missing data, or fields not set as default values.  Available fields are:

  • SKU is empty - looks for items without a value in the SKU field.
  • Products without tags - looks for items that do not have tags assigned to them.
  • Price is > than compare at price - looks for items that have a higher selling price than the compare at price.
  • Products without descriptions - looks for items that do not contain any text in the item description.
  • Products without images - looks for items that do not have at least one image associated with them.
  • Barcode is empty or invalid - please note, this does not check that the Barcode is an actual usable barcode based on the value entered in the barcode field.
  • Products without collections - looks for items that are not assigned to any collection.
  • Images without alt tags - looks for items that have images, but do not have any alt text.
  • Variants without product tax code - looks for variants without a tax code.
  • Products without product type - looks for items without a product type.
  • Products without variants - looks for items that do not have any variants.
  • Products without product vendor - looks for items that do not have a vendor associasted with them.
  • Variants without image - looks for variants that do not have at least one image associated with them.

 

 

You can choose to use the default file name for the export, or enter a name of your own.  You can also choose to have the file generated in Microsoft Excel or CSV format.

 

Once selections are made, click Next.

By default, Your Store Tools will provide a notification on the dashboard as well as a notification via email when the job is complete.  If you choose not to receive a notification via email, you can turn this option off on this screen, or change the email address it will be sent to.

Once your selection is made, click Submit to finish.
