Transform your store’s order management with the Minimum Order Enforcer (MOE). This tool goes beyond standard BigCommerce capabilities, enabling you to easily set and enforce minimum order thresholds, ensuring your customers meet the required order values effortlessly.
Minimum Order Enforcer is not a self installable app and installation must be done by one of our developers. Once you purchase Minimum Order Enforcer, you will need to grant store access for us to complete the installation.
Granting Your Store Wizards Access to Your Store
Step 1: Create a New User in BigCommerce
Log into your BigCommerce control panel, and go to Account Settings > Users:
Click on Create a User Account:
Enter the following information for Your Store Wizards to have access to your store:
- Email: support@yourstorewizards.com
- Status: Active
- Preferred language: English
- User Role: Custom
- Under System Admin Permissions, check the following boxes:
- Manage Settings
- Store Design
- Design Mode
- Use Script Manager
Click Save.
Step 2: Notify Your Store Wizards
Once the new user is created, please email us at support@yourstorewizards.com to let us know access has been granted so we can begin the installation of Minimum Order Enforcer.
Setting Up or Editing Minimum Order Enforcer Settings
Step 1: Launch Page Builder
To set up the Minimum Order Enforcer, you will first need to launch the Page Builder, where settings are located and controlled.
To do this, log into your BigCommerce control panel and:
- If you do not have multi storefront, go to Storefront > Themes and click on Customize.
- If you have multi storefront, go to Channel Manager and choose the storefront Minimum Order Enforcer is installed on and click on Edit Theme.
The Page Builder will then load:
Step 2: Set or Edit Minimum Order Enforcer Settings
From the Page Builder navigation bar, click on the painter's pallet icon which will open up the Theme Styles menu:
Click on YSW Settings to open the settings for Minimum Order Enforcer:
To turn on the Minimum Order Enforcer, click Enable Wholesale Customer Restriction then set the following settings:
- Customer Group & IDs & Minimum Amount - enter the Customer Group ID (see instructions for locating below), followed by a colon (:), followed by the order minimum. Multiples can be separated by a comma.
- Restriction Title - customer-friendly wording that will be used as the header text in the checkout warning if the threshold is not met.
- Restriction Message - a friendly note to your customer letting them know they need to reach their minimum in order to check out and qualify for their pricing.
- Restriction Button Text - what the continue button will display. In most cases, this is left as the default “Keep Shopping.”
When complete, click Save at the top of Page Builder and when you're ready to make your changes live, click Publish.
How to Locate the Customer Group ID
To find the Customer Group ID, from your BigCommerce control panel, go to Customers > Customer Groups.
Click on the Customer Group you need the ID for.
Look in your browser’s URL bar to locate the Customer Group ID which is located here in this example:
https://store-example.mybigcommerce.com/manage/customers/groups/5/edit. The number 5 in this URL is the Customer Group Number.
