Update Bulk Prices Tool for BigCommerce
🔧 Quick Info: You can import product bulk price records from a file, that will update or create product bulk price records.
What it does
This tool bulk-updates the bulk pricing tiers attached directly to your products in BigCommerce — the “buy 10+ and pay less” quantity discounts you set on a product itself. You upload a spreadsheet, map your columns, and the tool creates or updates each product’s bulk pricing rules to match your file.
Product bulk pricing vs. Price List bulk pricing: This tool changes the bulk pricing tiers that live on the product. If instead you manage quantity discounts inside a BigCommerce Price List (for customer groups), use the Price List Bulk Pricing Updater.
When to use it
- You want to add, change, or remove quantity-break pricing on many products at once.
- You already have your pricing in a spreadsheet and don’t want to edit products one by one.
- You exported your current bulk pricing, edited it, and want to push it back. (See Export Product Bulk Pricing.)
Before you start
- Your store must be connected to BigCommerce with the permissions this tool needs.
- Have your import file ready as CSV or Excel (.xlsx).
- The first row of your file must be column headers, and must include columns for SKU, Min Qty, Type, and Amount.
- The SKU must already exist in BigCommerce. Rows with a SKU that isn’t found are reported as errors and skipped.
Step-by-step
1 Open the Bulk Pricing Updater tool from your dashboard.
2 Upload Bulk Pricing — upload your file (or import from a URL). The tool reads your header row.
3 Match your columns — once the file is uploaded, the Match your file’s columns screen lists each column in your spreadsheet. Pick the tool field for each one (SKU, Min Qty, Type, Amount).
4 Email delivery — choose whether you’d like an email when the job finishes. Delivery is off by default; your account email is prefilled if you turn it on.
5 Submit. The tool runs as a background job, so you can close the page. If you turned email delivery on, we email you when it’s done, including any rows that couldn’t be processed.
File / field reference
Map your columns to these fields. All four are required.

| Amount | Yes | The value for the tier (currency symbols like $, £, commas, and spaces are stripped automatically). Enter the special value delete to remove that tier instead of setting it. |
How rows combine: Multiple rows with the same SKU build that product’s full set of bulk pricing tiers (ordered by Min Qty). The tool compares your tiers against what’s currently in BigCommerce, removes tiers that no longer match, and adds/updates the rest.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
“SKU not found in BigCommerce”
that SKU doesn’t exist in your store, so the row was skipped. Check for typos or create the product first.
Nothing changed for some products
if your tiers already exactly match what’s in BigCommerce, there’s nothing to update.
Removing a tier
put delete in the Amount column for that row.
No email
make sure Email Delivery was set to “Yes” on the final step, check spam, confirm the recipient, and review the run in the tool’s History.
